December was a busy month. I have to rush for the 40% discount photobook before the last day of the year (&*%&* they extended the promo and now it is 45% off) and also to rush a few ‘projects’. At the same time, I also have to check out if there is any new information for the projects and of course, new digital kits to use for the photobook. Because of that, I have to stay connected and got my ‘overheated’ laptop loaded with ‘heavy’ application while ‘battling’ with the broadband bandwidth. Believe or not, I even need an ice pack to ‘cool down’ my system to prevent auto shut down. :S

about our video tape

We used to bring along our video cam when we go for a holiday. About 2 years ago, I sold it off as thought want to get a lighter and smaller video cam from Japan. I even have check out which model to get. But then after think twice and thrice, we decided not to buy it. The reason is, we got no extra hand to hold and shoot the video. Imagine, I have to hold my dslr and for sure the hub needs to take care of the two kids. *feel a bit guilty as we don’t have any video of the boy but a lot of videos of the gal*

So far I have only got one clip converted from the 8mm film to DVD and that cost me 30 bucks! And, I still have about six tapes waiting to be converted from film to DVD. Instead of sending the tape to sony center to do the converting, I think better I check out if I can do it by myself to save the money. Obviously, a piece of DVD is much cheaper than what I have to pay to Sony Center!

Last time I did tried once to do it at my own to convert the FILM TO DVD but it was failed and the clip was not smooth although it was viewable. The software I used needs a don’t-know-what card to capture the clip (to make sure the clip could play smoothly) and that explain why it was failed. Furthermore, it took me so long time to get it loaded to the system although the burning process is fast! Since that, I never do it again. Think I have to check with friends and see, if there is any better software to do that without the need of an expansion card.

EPF investment scheme

A friend recommends a trust fund agent to me, to introduce the investment through EPF scheme to me. It sounds good, so harm to meet the agent for a simple presentation.

The EPF investment scheme is only available for selected fund which is fully involved in ‘locally investment’. Meaning the fund is not eligible for the scheme even if the fund has only 0.01% investment into oversea market. Anyway, local market may be not as high return as oversea market, but definitely the risk is much lower…. I hope.

On the New Year day

………. while hub still in his dreamland, the boy wakes him up by saying “daddy, 快点起身 (faster wake up), Disneyland 要关门了 (Disneyland is going to close already)”. :S

Later when are on the way to 1U, I asked him “where are we going now?”,

he said “Disneyland”

so I told him, “Disneyland is far and we have to take airplane to get there”

and he replied me “ok, we go to sit airplane” :S

the gal then added, “I don’t want to sit airplane, coz my ears is pain when in the airplane” “I want to take the Princess Horse to disneyland” “the horse with wings, can fly wan… “ :S

When we are on the way home from 1U, the boy telling me “I don’t want to go home, I want to go Mickey’s house”

Well, they are not trying to hint for Dineyland, but it is because of the boy was ‘chi kek’ by the fireworks on the night before. He was thinking want to go to Disneyland to watch the beautiful firework. LOL

森之湯度假村

While I m checking the latest deal from TravelZoo, I saw this,

“跟寒流說再見！馬來西亞 4 天泡湯、Spa 享暖冬”

So, I click on it to see where the place is to 泡湯. However, I got confused when I read on it,

“以吉隆坡和大馬中部的森之湯度假村為主………………………… 行程安排在度假村泡馬國最大的露天碳酸泉、品嘗熱呼呼的溫泉蛋 ……………. “

Where is the 森之湯度假村?? I never know that there is hot spring in Malaysia with such beautiful name. Anyway, it sounds like an onsen resort in Japan (the onsen at Kiroro Resort, Hokkaido was named as 森林の湯) . LOL

So, I google ‘森之湯度假村’ and found this “森之湯度假飯店 Plantation Resorts” at Tourism Malaysia site of Taiwan.

Ops, never know that the Plantation Resorts/Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park has such ‘beautiful’ name in Chinese. LOL

I have been busy searching around for the information and tips about Bali lately.

There is a thread in the forum is interesting as the former want to know if anyone try before to get the moving companies to ship the baliness furniture back to their country. I think the hub sure will say I am mad if I tells him that I want to buy the furniture from Bali. LOL Besides that, there are also a lot of people commented Bali is so beautiful.

The more I read the more I feel like want to get the ticket and fly over there now.

ballet class

Finally we sent the gal for ballet class since last two months ago.

She loves it so much, as well as the costume which made her look like a fairy/princess. LOL initially the class is 45mins per session and there is one session per week. But a month later, the teacher decided to adjust the time to 1h45mins per session and remain as one session per week. The fee we pay is still same, RM55 per month with no additional charges. So worth it, right?

If the teacher have the team of Las Vegas CPA to work for her, surely they will told her it is a loss-business. LOL

About the boy

He was diaperless for both day and night since 6 months ago. When we are in somewhere which we can’t bring him to the toilet immediately, we will tell him “ask shee shee don’t come out first, ok?” So far he is doing well to hold the bladder.

He adores Mickey very much. He talks to him, play with him and even sleep with him. Besides that, he likes Thomas and McQueen (from Cars) too. Just now, he point to Mickey‘s eye and tell me ‘Mickey’s eye’ then the nose as ‘Mickey’s nose’, the mouth as ‘Mickey’s mouth’ and last, he point to somewhere below the ear and tell me ‘Mickey don’t have ear!’. LOL

One night, he was waiting me to go to the room together with him when I was busying washing my face. He told me ‘coz I want to hold mummy hand’ when I ask him why he don’t want to go up first.

He knows how to call his daddy from the iPhone and hardly got to the wrong person. He is very good in using the iPhone, perhaps the iPhone is too user friendly?
