Osaka -> KL

We wake up early in the morning, 5am as we hav to catch the 8am train to airport. We did some last minute packing; kw was awake by the noises we made! After bath kw, i thought to change her to a short sleeve home wear T-shirt but was reject by her! She took out the shirt she wore yesterday and insist me to wear her that shirt, opps she knew that that shirt is wear only when we go “kai kai”! No choice and no time, quickly change her with it first and put the homewear to my backpack see if i could change her again in the airport later!!

Everything seems like when thru smoothly, manage to catch the train, and kw behave well during the an hour journey to airport! We noticed that there are something wrong upon we reached the airport, guess what? Haha, kw ’s shoes was left in the hotel room!!!! Kw was sit on her stroller for the entire journey thus we didn’t noticed that she didn’t wear the shoes!!!

After checking-in all our luggage, i headed to the second floor to buy the delicious “strawberry mochi” and cheese cake from Shofuan.

After the customs and immigration clearing, we headed to ANA Lounge to rest as we were too tired!!! Luckily the distance between the lounge and the boarding gate was just opposite, so we able to rest and ate untill the gate open! The airport customer service told me to enter to the cabin when she saw kw was keep pulling to enter the gate (kw was walking on the floor wearing socks only)!! As usual the customer service on board was excellent and it was not many passengers for the day, 5 passengers only included 3 of us.

Kw dozed off when the flight took off, and she manage to nap for about 2 hrs! So i can enjoy my meal on board without her disturbing! Kw ’s kid meal was served after she wake up, and she was watching the Barney while i feed her!

We return home by the airport limousine taxi service which cost us about RM76.40 to Ampang, my mum ’s house. We reached home at about 45mins time!

Universal Studio Japan

This is an outdated post!

We went to Universal Studio Japan on 29 Nov 2006, the last day we’re in Japan. I bought the discounted entrance ticket from their online store at 5100 Yen for adult, original price is 5500 Yen. The Christmas decoration in USJ was beautiful and it was 5th anniversary of USJ too. We manage to snap some photo of kw and Woody Woodpecker, Winnie Woodpecker and Hello Kitty,� she was very happy to play with “mascot” no matter who is it! We didn’t watch the 4D movie this time due to the long Q. Kw and i watch the “hello kitty street show” “Sesame street street show”and the 5th anniversary parade while hubby playing the Terminator attraction! According to hubby, it was a great of 3D show, he insists me to play too, so i go and Q lor. We didn’t play much attraction as most of it have to wait or so long time, anyway i still manage to watch the Sesame Street 4D movie with KW while hubby Q for the Spiderman. We left after watching the Xmas tree light up!

Osaka

We went to Osaka by JR, it took us about 30mins to reach. We stayed in Hotel Nikko Bayside Osaka, a Five-star hotel next to Universal Studio Japan. The location is great, less than 1 min from JR station and about 1-2 min to USJ. We had our lunch at Macdonald’s, the prawn burger was delicious and the prawn was so fresh! Macdonald’s in Japan is self-service type, meaning have to Q to order like Malaysia and clean the table ourself! There was a baby changing room inside the Macdonald’s which we couldn’t found in Malaysia! We spent the day at Osaka city walk coz too lazy to go out!

Tofuku-Ji Temple

Tofuku-Ji Temple (东福寺）is our last destination in Kyoto, will go to Osaka the next day. This temple was one of the famous and popular temple when it come to autumn red leaves season! I even told my friends it was 美到不可理喻！

Nanzen-ji Zen Temple

We went to Nanzen-ji Zen Temple by subway. It was our 1st “trip” to see RED LEAVES! Since it was late-autumn now, Mr sun going off work quite early at about 4.30pm, so we were there for about 1 hour only.

25 Nov 2006 - Shinkansen

We went to Kyoto by the “bullet train” (Shinkansen). It took about 2h 45mins to reach Kyoto.

We bought the Shinkansen ticket under the “super value” “Shinkansen Tour” by JTB, 14500 per person including 1 way shinkansen ticket and 1 night hotel stay at Karasuma Kyoto Hotel (the normal fare for this 1-way ticket is about 12390yen).

Ghibli museum

Our destination today is ghibli museum. We bought the entrance ticket at JTB Mitaka, 1000 yen per adult.

The museum was so beautiful; kw had fun in the ‘totoro bus’ playground.

There are 2 cafeteria inside the museum, 1 is selling hot dog and ice-cream and the other one is ’straw hat cafe’. The food in ’straw hat cafe’ was delicious especially the strawberry cake, it was so yummy! Kw ate all the strawberry, the strawberry was so sweet!
