Phuket Breakaway, last day

Glad that the chaos happened only after we were back from Phuket.

On the last day in Phuket, we suppose to have a relax breakfast time in the hotel restaurant, but the kids insisted to go to the beach. We thought since it was the last day, so we sacrifice our breakfast and went to beach, just to play sand and enjoy the sea breeze.

But …. I was wrong, again. Both of them just so love the wave, and keep wanted to go near to the water!! Ends up both of their pants are wet.

The total hotel charges are THB 1438 where THB 250 is for one hour use of internet!!!!

The AA check-in counter at Phuket airport was so slow, slow until I feel like missing the business class so much!!! We have our brunch at Burger King after I grabbed some bags from NaRaYa.

The flight took off on time and very lucky that KX fall asleep during the take off. I must say that the journey home is pretty smooth!! :)

Overall, it is a great breakaway holiday for the kids. Shame to say, it is their first time playing sand, I am happy that they are not afraid of the sand. Maybe we will back to Phuket by next year if I renew my membership.

Phuket breakaway, Day 2

On the second day, we spend the morning at beach. At first, I thought to bring them to play sand at the beach, but they seem more interested on the water, especially KX. They are not afraid of the wave; instead they are so excited to welcome the wave to hit them.

After showering in the hotel, we then made a trip to Patong Beach by the famous tuk tuk (THB 350, quite pricey, but I guess maybe is because they saw us come out from Hilton). Anyway, it was a great experience for both the kids.

There is a huge shopping mall in Patong Beach, with lots of shop, Carrefour and Robbinson. I remember about 4 years ago, there is only one lauyah Ocean in Patong Beach. We spent some of the cash almost half the day in the mall and walked around Patong Beach.

Changed the kids to their swimsuit after back to the hotel at about 6pm. The hotel staffs were so helpful to bring our float to inflate at somewhere outside the hotel. How nice!

Again, both the kids were extremely excited dipping in the pool. When we are about to leave the pool, KW pointed to the beach and tells me she want to continue the fun at the beach! The pool is facing to the beach.

We settled the kid’s dinner at the Sails restaurant and our’ at the Thai Thai restaurant for thai cuisine.

looks more like ‘drown’ than swimming :)

Phuket Breakaway, Day 1

We took the earliest flight to Phuket on 24 August and reach Phuket pretty early, at around 7.52am. Phuket time zone is one hour later. We headed to the hotel by airport taxi, it cost THB 650.

It took us about an hour to reach the hotel. We took the tram from Hilton welcome center to the lobby and proceed with check-in procedure. Was great with 4 welcome drinks and 4 refreshment towels.

Exactly like the comment in TripAdvisor, the staffs there are all friendly and helpful. They even help to entertain and baby-sit KX when we are having our meal in the restaurant. :) We didn’t go anywhere on the first day as both of us were too knackered. Imagine, we all woke up early morning at 4.30am!!! Lunch and dinner was settled in the hotel too, not really very expensive as we entitles for the 50% discount with the Premium Club membership card.

Phuket breakaway

We have a short 3D2N holiday to Phuket on last Sunday. I book the flight ticket from AA when they are having the promotion of flying Phuket with RM3. It cost me RM1167 for the total air fare which inclusive of a checked baggage (RM6 for one checked baggage).

As for hotel, I redeem my complimentary free stay from Hilton Premium Club. We stayed at Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa and pay THB 594 per night to upgrade the room from garden view to sea view. So, it cost us about RM118.80 only for 2 nights at Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa. :)

the onsen of Hotel MySpa Maihama

These are the onsen for ladies of Hotel MySpa Maihama. Photos are excerpt from their official website as camera is not allowed to bring inside the area. Beautiful huh? According to the website, the onsen water is from 1700m underground.

Before entering to the onsen bath area, there is a huge locker storage room, we have to trace our locker according to the number of our wrist band. There is a small key hidden inside the wrist band which is also the locker key.

While searching for my locker, I was praying my locker is near to the towel rack so that I can grab the small towel as soon as I have taken off my clothes. LOL We have to walk to the bath area nakedly from our locker and the towel rack was located outside the bath area. :S

I tried all the 7 type of onsen and sauna as well. The outdoor onsen was great although I was shivering walking to the pool, but once dipping myself inside the water, I feel so comfortable! How good if it is snowing by that time!!!

These are the toiletries supply in the public bath. My hair so silky smooth even a week after I have back to Malaysia. But I am not sure is because of this shampoo or the onsen water. :)

Overall, this is a great hotel especially with the rate we got from the hotel reservation site. The rate we got is 10000 Yen per room per night, which is approx. RM300, standard rate for a standard small room in Japan.

hotel room of Hotel MySpa Maihama

Let’s have a glimpse to the awesome hotel room of Hotel MySpa Maihama which we stayed for the last 4 nights of our Japan holiday 2 months ago. Gosh, 2 months already, how I wish I am still there now!!!

The room is spacious, about 30m, clean, and new, of course! There is a writing table and another cabinet for the LCD TV. To my surprise, I found there is a LAN connector near the writing table, so immediately I rang a call to the front desk to check if there is internet for use. And yes, they have, it is free to use and they even send the LAN cable to my room for me.

Since the broadband in Japan is much faster than our streamyx, I fast fast go download and install the Vista SP1, also all the available digital kits. It is really fast!!!! LOL

Ops, forgot to say that, the hotel is using Shiseido brand of toiletries. :)

Hotel MySpa Maihama

I found this fantastic hotel through a hotel reservation portal about a week before we fly over to Japan. Immediately I sms msau and ask her to check if she is ok with this hotel since the rate is a bit higher than the rate of the hotel we planned to stay and we are going to stay 4 nights there.

The House Plans of this hotel is so special, it is more like a log home floor plans than a traditional hotel. The front desk and lobby is at third floor instead of ground floor like others.

Everyone inside the hotel have to be bared foot as shoes are not allowed to enter to the hotel, as well as stroller. The stroller will be keep by the front desk while shoes will be kept in keyed locker. The interior of the hotel is great, the Country House Plans of the hotel made it looks spacious!

We were given 2 access cards and 2 wrist bands when checking in. like most hotel, access card is needed before we are able to press the floor button from the elevator and access to the room as well. As for wrist band, there is a 4 digits number and bar code.

It is cashless in the hotel, so we are advice to wear the wrist band whenever we are in the hotel. When we were in the restaurant, the waitress will charge us the bill by scanning the barcode of our wrist band, as well as all the vending machine in the hotel. Very high tech…. and very dangerous as we may over spend without notice!

bad weekend!

We have a bad weekend which is suppose a wonderful weekend for us!

KX is not feeling well on Saturday and suffering diarrhea at night. That time, we were at the hotel at A Famosa. When I pack the luggage afternoon, I thought … just one night only, shouldn’t have any problem if I no bring the yu yee oil and darpolene. Damn… I think next time wherever I go, even just a day trip, I better bring along these two items!!!

On Sunday, which we suppose to visit Animal World, the sky just went dark out of sudden about 10mins after we enter the park. So, better leave than being wet later, better don’t take the risk! Glad that we made a right decision, everywhere is wet right after we reach the exit! Since KX is not well, we decided to back to KL instead of wait for the rain to stop.

At night, when I am ready to process the photo, I found that the CF card has lost! It is not in my crumpler…. I search all over the bag again and again hope that it is misplaced somewhere else, but in vain! I feel really sad for losing the photo of the kids!!! *sob*

It’s really a bad weekend!
