These are the onsen for ladies of Hotel MySpa Maihama. Photos are excerpt from their official website as camera is not allowed to bring inside the area. Beautiful huh? According to the website, the onsen water is from 1700m underground.
Before entering to the onsen bath area, there is a huge locker storage room, we have to trace our locker according to the number of our wrist band. There is a small key hidden inside the wrist band which is also the locker key.
While searching for my locker, I was praying my locker is near to the towel rack so that I can grab the small towel as soon as I have taken off my clothes. LOL We have to walk to the bath area nakedly from our locker and the towel rack was located outside the bath area. :S
I tried all the 7 type of onsen and sauna as well. The outdoor onsen was great although I was shivering walking to the pool, but once dipping myself inside the water, I feel so comfortable! How good if it is snowing by that time!!!
These are the toiletries supply in the public bath. My hair so silky smooth even a week after I have back to Malaysia. But I am not sure is because of this shampoo or the onsen water.
Overall, this is a great hotel especially with the rate we got from the hotel reservation site. The rate we got is 10000 Yen per room per night, which is approx. RM300, standard rate for a standard small room in Japan.

Let’s have a glimpse to the awesome hotel room of Hotel MySpa Maihama which we stayed for the last 4 nights of our Japan holiday 2 months ago. Gosh, 2 months already, how I wish I am still there now!!!
The room is spacious, about 30m, clean, and new, of course! There is a writing table and another cabinet for the LCD TV. To my surprise, I found there is a LAN connector near the writing table, so immediately I rang a call to the front desk to check if there is internet for use. And yes, they have, it is free to use and they even send the LAN cable to my room for me.
Since the broadband in Japan is much faster than our streamyx, I fast fast go download and install the Vista SP1, also all the available digital kits. It is really fast!!!! LOL
Ops, forgot to say that, the hotel is using Shiseido brand of toiletries.

I found this fantastic hotel through a hotel reservation portal about a week before we fly over to Japan. Immediately I sms msau and ask her to check if she is ok with this hotel since the rate is a bit higher than the rate of the hotel we planned to stay and we are going to stay 4 nights there.
The House Plans of this hotel is so special, it is more like a log home floor plans than a traditional hotel. The front desk and lobby is at third floor instead of ground floor like others.
Everyone inside the hotel have to be bared foot as shoes are not allowed to enter to the hotel, as well as stroller. The stroller will be keep by the front desk while shoes will be kept in keyed locker. The interior of the hotel is great, the Country House Plans of the hotel made it looks spacious!
We were given 2 access cards and 2 wrist bands when checking in. like most hotel, access card is needed before we are able to press the floor button from the elevator and access to the room as well. As for wrist band, there is a 4 digits number and bar code.
It is cashless in the hotel, so we are advice to wear the wrist band whenever we are in the hotel. When we were in the restaurant, the waitress will charge us the bill by scanning the barcode of our wrist band, as well as all the vending machine in the hotel. Very high tech…. and very dangerous as we may over spend without notice!

Be frank, it is not easy to travel with 2 monkeys, especially to the city that busy like no tomorrow, quite challenging actually. But, I have a good hubby. He taking care of KX most of the time, he feed him, change him and coax him. I just need to take care of KW only which is much easier.
KW has no problem adapt to the new environment, she is very excited instead. KX is cranky during the first few nights as he loves his bed at home more than hotel’s. Other than that, he too adapt very well to the environment.
The only problem we have is how to handle KX during the lunch and dinner. He has no problem if there is a high chair provided, but most of the chain restaurant like Matsuya and Yoshinoya has no high chair! Imagine, hubby gulping the ramen while KX sitting on his lap trying to grab the ramen! Hahaha …..
As for our schedule, it is quite free actually. I try not to take too much of the train/subway in a day, therefore we didn’t go much places. Also, that made a very good excuse for me to re-visit to Japan.
Anyway, we still enjoy the holiday much and definitely will bring the kids along for our next trip. Hopefully KX is not that terrible next year, quite scare of the ‘terrible two’. LOL

This is the gift given to KW from MH88 ….
You dare to give it to your kids to play? check out the paint of the plane… I think AA is much better… no gift, no complaint!
July 4th, 2008
We get off at terminal two of Narita Airport.
After checking in and pass through all the security checking, we went to buy the Shiroi Koibito chocolate which is available only at Hokkaido and Narita Airport. At the meantime, we bought the Tokyo Banana too, as ‘souvenir’ to our colleague.

Tokyo Banana… the shape is like banana and the taste is like banana too..

I thought to bring KW to have lunch at the lounge, but too bad as there is only snack serving. No choice …

She enjoy the potato chips

And not forgotten a glass of cola ….

The comfortable seat of Qatar Airways Privilege Club,

Power plug and LAN port for internet access

Btw, we have a great seat at the lounge….

As usual, the boarding gate of MAS always the last one which we have to walk a lot… is it the rental for a distant boarding gate cheaper?

KW dozes off during the take off while KX is very excited…. But luckily he fall asleep too after playing for a while. The cabin crews are very friendly which is totally opposite from the flight to Narita before. Also, the toys given is much nicer than the earlier one although they are still ‘cheaper’ than Cathay’s.
Our lunch and snack on board…

According to the air stewardess, MAS decided to change the MH71 from boeing 777-200 to the ropey airbus with the reason not much passenger. Damn….

Finally it comes to the last night of our holiday…. but I still don’t feel going home…. LOL
It took me few hours to pack all the belongings to the luggage and boxes…
Luckily still manage to get up on time to change the kids and catch the taxi sharp at 8am. I ask the hotel help me to book for a taxi to Disney Ambassador Hotel for airport limousine bus.
The taxi driver is very well manner and helpful to help us load and unload the belongings to and from the taxi. We were very impress with the service from the 5 star hotel of Japan. A hotel staff brings us to the hotel front desk to pay for the airport limousine bus ticket after ‘checking-in’ our luggage which will be then load to the storage bay of the bus.
We walk around in the hotel and purposely have a glimpse on the famous ‘Chef Mickey’ restaurant. The queue for the Chef Mickey is long, their breakfast is open for the hotel guests only and advance reservation is needed. I always wish I can have breakfast here one day!
I noticed the bus ticket which is put inside my pocket was lost and the worst is, it is almost time to board the bus!!! Immediately I run to the front desk to check if anyone has pick up it and pass to them. Thanks god, the tickets were with them! Someone found the ticket in the Disney store of the hotel.
There is not many passenger in the bus and both of us fall asleep soundly for the entire journey to Narita airport…..
